1- What exactly NWSIW is?
We are the international network of women scientists and seek to empower women and enhance their scientific participation. Meanwhile we try to identify, organize and deepen the ties between Muslim women scientists.
2- What is the mission of NWSIW portal?
NWSIW is the scientific and social portal which facilitates the networking of women scientists of the Islamic World and makes them able to share their scientific knowledge and experience with other women scientists and academics.
3- Can anyone use NWSIW?
MA/MS/MSC and PhD women graduates and above can register to NWSIW from all educational fields, scientific organizations and institutions. B.A women graduates can also register upon having done scientific work and after the confirmation of the board of trustees. MEN can also register upon the confirmation of the Board of Trustees.
4- How can I register?
For registration you can either fill out the form or send your CV so that we can fill it out for you.
5- What Scientific categories NWSIW covers?
The portal of NWSIW covers a wide range of subcategories in all departments. Departments include three major academic categories of: 1- Applied Science & Engineering 2- Bio medical Sciences 3- Social Science & Humanity. Each of these embraces some subcategories which are 60 all together.
6- What are the NWSIW scientific resources?
Over 40000 journals and 25000 e-books from premier publishers such as Elsevier, Oxford, IEEE, Wiley, ASCE, ACM, Springer and etc.; plus E-Books are available for NWSIW members
7- What sections are included in each scientific department?
Biomedical Science department includes: complementary medicine, dentistry, embryology, forensic science, genetics, immunology, laboratory medicine, medicine, microbiology & virology, molecular biology, nursing & midwifery, nutrition, pharmaceutical science, public health and rehabilitation.
Applied Science & Engineering department includes: agriculture, architecture, bioengineering, biology, chemistry, civil engineering, computer science & IT, control system, electrical engineering, energy, environmental science, geography, geology, material science, mathematics, mechanical engineering, nanotechnology, physics, space science, telecommunication engineering, textile engineering and veterinary.
Humanities & Social Science department includes: anthropology, archeology, art & design, business & accounting, communication science, economics, education, history, language & linguistics, library & museum studies, literature, management, philosophy, psychology, religious studies, sociology, sport and statistics.
8- How NWSIW article works within each category?
Members of the network can share their articles with other members. They only need to sign up in the network and submit their published article based on their field of study. The submitted article will be added to the NWSIW articles.
9- How can I get familiar with other similar scientific websites?
NWSIW has provided around 200 scientific websites from all over the world, some of which are Women networks, associations, organizations and scientific centers and the rest are general in terms of gender- orientation. For more general websites, such as WHO or other highly accredited international websites, please refer to Web link in our home page.
10- What is the function of “Who is she?” section?
“Who is she” is dedicated to the introduction of highly accredited scientific women who have been successful in their scientific careers and have had outstanding achievements both regionally and globally. It would serve as a great opportunity to familiarize these people to the members and provide necessary steps for members to connect together for further joint cooperation.
11- What is the function of “submit your article”?
It is where members can submit their articles to NWSIW for sharing with other members. This way, a very good article directory would be constructed, to which all the members have access.
12- What happens when I place myself in one of these scientific categories?
In the registration process, you will choose one of the 60 categories according to your field of study at university. Then, in your respected department, you will have access to various interesting scientific parts as the members, experts, book, ranking, bulletins, scientific centers and books.
